Nanofiltration (NF)

As a membrane filtration-based method nanofiltration uses nanometer sized cylindrical through-pores and operates at room temperature, which greatly increases the cost of the process when continuous heating or cooling is applied it also Performs gentle molecular separation.
Its ability to process large volumes and continuously produce streams makes this process favourable and effecient

You should NEVER drink the water from a water softener, and drinking bottled water is too expensive and you never know what quality the bottled water is.

Nitrate Sulphate Filter

The main options for achieving safe nitrate levels we use are;
  1. Non-treatment techniques consisting of blending drinking waters, or changing water sources.
  2. Treatment processes, e.g ion exchange, reverse osmosis, biological denitrification and chemical reduction to actually remove portions of the pollutant.

The main sources of research Acculynk uses for nitrate removal entails ion exchange, biochemical denitrification, and reverse osmosis.
Today the primary system in use is ion exchange. At Acculynk several nitrate selective ion exchange products based on higher amine functionalities and also provides standard Type I and type II strong base anion resins that can be used for nitrate removal. Although all strong base anion resins prefer nitrate over chloride, at TDS suitable for potable water, the standard type I and type II resins prefer sulfate over nitrate. This preference can result in dumping nitrates, a condition where the resin adds nitrate to the finished water instead of removing it.
Acculynk's nitrate selective resins have increased selectivity for nitrate and prefer nitrate over sulfate and other anions, even at very low TDS. This increased preference prevents nitrate dumping. In waters that have high sulfate concentrations the nitrate selective resins also enjoy higher operating capacities than can be obtained from the standard type I and type II anion resins.
As with all other products intended for portable water, all of Acculynk’s nitrate selective resins as well as our standard type I and type II strong base anion resins are WQA Gold Seal approved and meet the NSF/ANSI 61 standard for drinking water. In ion exchange process, resins are used to substitute chloride ions for the nitrate or sulphate radical..

Reverse osmosis

Through this tehcnology, a semipermeable membrane removes ions, molecules, and larger particles from drinking water and while applying pressure overcomes osmotic pressure, a colligative property, which is driven by chemical potential differences of the solvent, a thermodynamic parameter.
Acculynk's RO units remove the unhealthy sodium and salt softeners leave behind as well as other dissolved solids, nitrates and heavy metals. It will even remove chemicals, carcinogens and human waste from the sewage treatment plant process or septic systems. Membrane Distillation (MD) :

Water desalination membrane hybrid process of Reverse osmosis and distillation in which we use hydrophobic synthetic membrane to permit the flow of water vapor through the membrane pores, but not the solution itself. The difference in vapor pressure of the liquid across the membrane is the steering wheel for membrane distillation.

Defloridation units

Some of the processes we engage in removing floride off water are;

    Water samples
  1. Water samples are collected in plastic cans from 20 different sources in the area and the drinking water samples are also analyzed.
  2. Analysis of water samples
  3. Calcium, Fluoride, Magnesium,Sodium & Pottasium, Chloride and Iron in the water are analyzed by the ortho-cresolpthalein complexone method, ion selective electrodes, Magnon Complex method [7] ,flame photometer, Mercuric Thiocyanate method, Ferrozine method. [10] methods respectively while the Statistical analysis done using Microsoft Excel®.
  4. Methods of defluoridation
  5. Varying concentrations of alum and lime are added to untreated water to find the combination that would decrease fluoride levels to a maximum extent. After the addition of lime and alum, water samples sre allowed to stand for 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and 120 minutes to determine the shortest time for maximum flocculation [Table 1]. The weight of the sediment formed after 1 hour from 250 ml of water is also given in [Table 1]. Values are an average of results obtained from 5 water samples.

Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Tanks (FRP)

At Acculynk we ensure that the partnership with major fiberglass tank manufacturers aids the best variety and availability of composite pressure vessels and accessories for water treatment systems. Acculynk is proud to offer and represent this cutting edge technology as a complement to the ion exchange resin and activated carbon product line. The use of a special high temperature, high-pressure injection process results in a durable tank that exhibits superior abuse and impact resistance. The glass-filled threaded inlet is mechanically and chemically welded to the dome so potential leak paths are eliminated. The manufacturing process incorporates computer-controlled cut-lengths to achieve the most consistent vessel height in the industry, with tolerances as low as 3/16”. ENPRESS tank inlets accept all 2.5” NPSM, 4” UN, and 4.5” buttress-threaded inlets and heads. All tanks are backed by an exclusive 5-year limited warranty for non-permanent DI applications..

Iron Manganese filter

  1. Acid Neutralizer Systems operates by passing acidic, or low pH water through either Calcite or Calcite Plus minerals to raise the pH. Some acid neutralizers correct pH by squirting a mixture of water and soda ash into your water line. Be careful of people who suggest you use any type of acid neutralizer to remove iron. You should never use minerals that raise pH inside of an iron filter or sulfur filter. Be sure you have spoken with one of our techs before you buy one
  2. Pyrolox Filter Systems do not require chemicals for regeneration or air injection. While Pyrolox works fairly well if you only have one issue or contaminant, such as iron. Pyrolox does not seem to work as well if you have more than one water issue. This is a problem for all Pyrolox units offered by all companies. For example if you have iron, sulfur and manganese, the Pyrolox can get overwhelmed.
  3. Our Birm Filters do not require chemicals, but do require air injection and a much higher pH in most cases. Most people don't realize that a brim iron filter should normally have a pH of 8.0 or higher for proper operation. More so if you are certain have BOTH iron and manganese in your water. Be sure you talk with one of our experts before you buy one.
  4. Our Manganese Greensand Filters choice is good for really low flow rates, but are rarely the best iron filters. The reason we normally try to stay away from these for home use is that they use a strong chemical called potassium permanganate. We try to keep our customers from the need to use harsh or poisonous chemicals. Be sure you have spoken with one of our experts before you buy one.
